What’s Being Proposed?

The Board of Forestville RSL Club has submitted a Development Application (DA2024/1303) to transform the existing RSL premises into a multi-stage commercial redevelopment that includes in part:

• A multi-storey retirement complex called Garraway.
   

• Demolition of the current two-storey club building and replacing it with a smaller single-storey club building.
   

• Removal of the cenotaph from the club grounds.
   

• Reduction or removal of existing licensed green and recreational 'bowling green' spaces.​

UPDATE: In early August, the Northern Beaches Council, and the Sydney North Planning Panel passed this Development Application.

Close to 80 public submissions to council were provided during this process, almost all were against.
