The Forestville RSL Club as we know it is on the brink of being lost forever.

The bowling greens - open lawns where families gather, the cenotaph where we honour our veterans, the large upstairs function and community rooms — all of it is set to be removed from the site, or bulldozed and replaced with a massive retirement complex with a small club situated at the bottom. It will include a structure so big you will see it from the CBD. It will be visible from parks, playgrounds and homes across the suburb and create a permanent reminder of what we have lost.

This is no longer just talk. Council has already approved the plan (as it was assumed they would). The only thing standing in the way is an upcoming Members’ vote.

A General Meeting of Club Members has not yet been called - but it will likely be soon.

​Can I Vote Online?
No. The club constitution allows for online voting BUT only at the discretion of the Board. To date, the Club has not indicated that they will allow online voting.

​Not a Club Member?
Only Members will be allowed to vote at Club meetings. Consider joining the club to help make your voice heard.​
We Are For Thoughtful Development
This redevelopment could strip Forestville of its unique character and replace a low-rise community hub with an oversized, high-impact complex.
